Best Virtual Number Providers in India, Compared by Price

10 virtual number providers in India compared: plans from ₹300 a month, GST, users, number type, IVR and who each suits. Prices checked 23 Sep 2026.

Best Virtual Number Providers in India, Compared by Price

For a small business, the best-value virtual number providers in India are Heyo Phone (₹300 a month plus GST for 2 users), Superfone (₹599 plus GST for 3 users) and TalkEasy by GrowEasy (₹999 plus GST for unlimited users on one shared number). If you need a multi-level IVR, a toll-free 1800 number or APIs, MyOperator (₹5,000 a month, billed yearly), Exotel (₹9,999 for 5 months) and Knowlarity (₹16,800 a year) are the stronger picks.

The instant "virtual numbers" sold online for OTPs are a different product. A business number comes from a licensed provider after KYC of every user and is registered to your business. For number types, KYC and setup, see our guide to virtual business numbers in India.

Which virtual number provider is best for your team?

  • One or two people on a tight budget: Heyo Phone Lite, ₹300 a month plus GST. Unlimited minutes and a WhatsApp Business number, but no IVR.
  • A 10-digit mobile number for three people: Superfone, ₹599 a month plus GST, paid quarterly or longer. Each extra user costs ₹200 a month.
  • A growing team sharing one number: TalkEasy Pro, ₹999 a month plus GST. Users are unlimited, so the bill stays the same as you hire.
  • IVR and WhatsApp for about ten people: MyOperator Sedan, ₹5,000 a month, billed yearly.
  • APIs and a prepaid budget: Exotel, from ₹9,999 for 5 months with ₹5,000 of call credit included.
  • A toll-free 1800 number: Tata Tele, at ₹11,988 a year plus call charges, or Knowlarity, from ₹21,000 a year with 500 free incoming minutes a month.
  • A call centre with six or more agents: Acefone at ₹1,599 per user a month, or Tata Tele Smartflo Lite at ₹950 per licence a month.

How we compared: prices and inclusions come from each provider's official pricing page, checked on 23 September 2026. We compiled them from those pages and did not run test calls. Where a pricing page doesn't mention GST ("Not shown"), budget 18% on top, the GST rate for telecom services.

How much does a virtual number cost for a team of 3, 5 or 10?

This is the monthly list price before GST, using each provider's cheapest plan that fits the headcount. Yearly and multi-month plans are shown as a monthly equivalent.

How the figures work: Heyo Pro stops at 5 users. Superfone adds ₹200 for each user beyond 3, and its quarterly plan caps outgoing calls at 2 hours a day. Exotel's Believer and Influencer packs last 11 months; the 5-month Dabbler pack (3 agents) works out to about ₹2,000 a month for a smaller upfront payment. Tata adds ₹5,000 once, and Acefone bills at least 6 seats.

For 3 users, Superfone (₹599) and Heyo Pro (₹600) are cheapest. At 5 users, Heyo Pro's ₹600 leads. From 6 users up, TalkEasy's flat ₹999 is the lowest list price in the table; Zoho Voice's Team plan (below) matches it at ₹999 a month billed annually for up to 10 users, with calls beyond its free minutes charged on top. The trade-off is talktime: TalkEasy Pro includes 3 hours a day, while Heyo, Tata, MyOperator and Acefone list unlimited calling.

The 10 providers: price, number type and the catch

Heyo Phone

Heyo's pricing page lists Lite at ₹300 a month plus GST for 2 users (1 admin, 1 staff), with unlimited minutes, up to 6 months of call recording and a WhatsApp Business number. Pro costs ₹600 plus GST, takes 5 users and adds an IVR with 2 departments. Numbers are fixed-line DIDs starting 011, 022, 080 and more, and you can't choose the digits. There's a 3-day free trial. You can cancel any time, but there is no refund.

Best for: a shop, clinic or agent with one or two people answering calls.

Superfone

Superfone charges ₹599 a month plus 18% GST for 1 virtual mobile number and 3 users including the owner, which is ₹2,120 a quarter with GST. Extra users cost ₹200 a month. The plan includes a 1-level IVR, 30 days of automatic call recording, number masking and a web dashboard for the owner. Quarterly plans cap outgoing calls at 2 hours a day; half-yearly and yearly plans are unlimited.

The catches: Superfone has no refund policy, a second number needs annual plans and a private limited, LLP or GST-registered business, and it does not serve the financial services sector. Its AI Receptionist costs ₹9,000 for 6 months plus GST and speaks 10 languages.

Best for: a small team that wants a mobile-style number and an AI receptionist option. See our TalkEasy vs Superfone comparison.

TalkEasy by GrowEasy

TalkEasy Pro costs ₹999 a month plus GST for unlimited users and contacts. The business number runs in the TalkEasy app alongside your existing SIM, so business calls stay separate from personal ones, and every call is logged against the number whoever answers. Pro includes 3 hours of talktime a day (extra hours ₹49 plus GST), call recording and history, team management and an analytics dashboard. Calls can be routed by team, department or availability, with separate office-hours rules.

After a call, TalkEasy transcribes the recording and writes a summary of the customer's requirement, objections and next follow-up, usually within a couple of minutes. With missed-call automation on, it calls back missed callers automatically, 24x7. The app is on Google Play for Android. Enterprise adds unlimited talktime and custom CRM integration at a quoted price.

Not the right pick if you need an IVR menu, a toll-free number, WhatsApp or a developer API. TalkEasy's plans don't list them.

Best for: a growing sales or service team that shares one number and wants the bill to stay flat as it hires.

MyOperator

MyOperator's Sedan plan is ₹5,000 a month for 10 users, billed yearly, so ₹60,000 plus GST up front. It includes an IVR, unlimited incoming and outgoing calls, call recording, and WhatsApp chat and broadcasts (Meta's message charges are extra). SUV, at ₹15,000 a month, adds CRM and 100+ integrations, webhooks and API access. Add-ons include a 1800 toll-free number from ₹500 a month and, on SUV and AI Team only, an auto-dialer from ₹700 per user a month. MyOperator refunds within 30 days of activation for numbers bought without customisation and used within its fair-use limits, and its help centre says Aadhaar eKYC gets a number live in minutes.

Best for: a team of about ten that handles calls and WhatsApp together. Compare the MyOperator alternatives.

Exotel

Exotel sells prepaid packs. Dabbler costs ₹9,999 for 5 months: ₹4,999 rental plus 5,000 credits (1 credit = ₹1) for calls, SMS and WhatsApp, with 1 virtual number and 3 agents. Believer (₹19,999, 11 months) has 2 numbers and 6 agents. Influencer (₹49,499, 11 months) has 10 numbers and unlimited agents. Every plan includes a multi-level IVR, call recording, a missed-call service, an auto dialer and SMS and WhatsApp APIs. Exotel adds 18% GST and charges calls per minute by number type. The free trial runs 7 days with 500 credits.

Best for: teams that build on APIs or want a fixed prepaid budget. Compare the Exotel alternatives.

Knowlarity

Knowlarity's Advance plan is ₹16,800 a year for 1 virtual number, 5 users (calls forward to their phones), 10 channels and 1,200 free minutes a month, then 30 paise per 30 seconds. Recordings are kept for 3 months. Premium (₹34,200 a year) covers 10 users with 5,000 free minutes. Toll-free plans start at ₹21,000 a year with 500 free incoming minutes a month, then ₹1.05 a minute. A missed-call number costs ₹5,000 a month with 2 lakh free missed calls.

Best for: businesses that budget yearly or want a toll-free or missed-call number.

Tata Tele Business Services (Smartflo)

Smartflo Lite costs ₹950 per licence a month plus ₹5,000 one-time, with a 3-month minimum (₹2,850 per licence). Each agent gets a standard DID, unlimited calling within India under a fair-use limit of 5,000 minutes per user a month (pooled), a 5-level IVR and 3 months of recording. Smartflo Pro (₹1,250 per licence, ₹10,000 one-time) removes the IVR limit and keeps recordings for 6 months. Tata also sells a toll-free number at ₹11,988 a year, with calls charged at ₹0.60 on a 30-second pulse.

Best for: teams that want a telecom operator's own platform with a deep IVR, or a low-rental toll-free line.

Airtel IQ Business Connect

Airtel publishes no rate card. Its FAQ says subscriptions start around ₹1,500 to 2,500 per user a month. The platform, powered by Vonage, offers local or toll-free virtual numbers, a multi-level IVR, call recording and an app, and Airtel pitches it at businesses of 5 to 5,000 employees.

Best for: companies that want an Airtel contract and a quoted plan.

Acefone (formerly Servetel)

Servetel's pricing page now redirects to Acefone. Professional costs ₹1,599 per user a month with a 6-seat minimum (₹9,594 a month). It includes unlimited calling within India, 1 standard DID, 3 months of recording, APIs, webhooks and CRM integrations. Ultra (₹1,999, 5-seat minimum) keeps recordings for 6 months. Add-ons: WhatsApp at ₹200 per seat, a toll-free or virtual mobile number at ₹500 a month, an extra DID at ₹100 a month. The trial is 7 days with limited calling.

Best for: an inbound call centre with six or more agents.

Bonvoice

Bonvoice's User Based plan is ₹1,499 a month for 1 user with unlimited incoming and outgoing calls. Standard, at ₹3,000 a month, covers 10 users and unlimited incoming calls but no outgoing calls. A minutes-based Basic plan costs ₹1,500 a month for 1,666 minutes, then ₹0.60 a minute.

Best for: a help desk that mostly takes calls (Standard), or one person who calls all day.

What should you check before choosing a provider?

  1. Number type. A 10-digit mobile-style number (Superfone), a landline DID with a city code (Heyo, Tata, Zoho's Mumbai landline) or a 1800 toll-free number (Tata Tele, Knowlarity, Airtel, and add-ons at MyOperator and Acefone). Toll-free calls cost the caller nothing, and you pay for the inbound minutes.
  2. How the price grows. Per-user plans (Acefone, Tata, Bonvoice, CallHippo) rise with every hire. Bundles (Heyo, Superfone, Knowlarity, MyOperator) jump at a user limit. TalkEasy and Exotel's Influencer pack have no user limit, though TalkEasy includes 3 hours of talktime a day (then ₹49 an hour plus GST) and Exotel draws down credit.
  3. IVR depth. Greeting only (Heyo Lite), 1 level (Superfone, Zoho Team), 2 departments (Heyo Pro), 5 levels (Tata Lite) or multi-level (Exotel, MyOperator, Airtel). TalkEasy routes calls by team, department and availability, but its plans list no IVR menu.
  4. Billing and refunds. Monthly (Heyo), quarterly or longer (Superfone), prepaid packs (Exotel) or yearly (MyOperator, Knowlarity). MyOperator refunds within 30 days of activation, for numbers bought without customisation and with usage inside its fair-use limits. Superfone and Heyo give no refunds.

Yes, if a licensed provider issues it after KYC. The Department of Telecommunications made KYC of each end user mandatory for business connections, and paper KYC ended on 1 January 2024 (PIB). A sole proprietor typically needs a GST certificate or Shop and Establishment licence, a PAN card and ID proof; a company adds its certificate of incorporation and the authorised signatory's ID (Exotel KYC FAQ).

Sales calling has its own rules. Since TRAI's February 2025 amendment, ordinary 10-digit numbers can't be used for telemarketing, and promotional calls must come from a 140-series number registered with a telecom operator. A first violation bars the sender's outgoing calls for 15 days; a repeat disconnects all its connections, SIP and PRI trunks included, for a year (PIB). None of the plans above include a 140-series number, so use a virtual number for inbound enquiries and callbacks to people who contacted you. If you plan to put the number on WhatsApp, read how a virtual number works with WhatsApp Business.

One number for the whole team

If your team shares one business number and you want the price to stay flat as you hire, TalkEasy Pro is ₹999 a month plus GST with unlimited users, call recording and 3 hours of talktime a day. See TalkEasy plans and pricing.

Frequently asked

Often, yes. Exotel accepts a sole proprietor's Shop and Establishment licence instead of a GST certificate, along with PAN and ID proof. Heyo completes KYC with Aadhaar alone and doesn't require GST details. MyOperator's help centre treats a PAN card as mandatory. Superfone is stricter for more than one number: a second number is sold only to private limited companies, LLPs and GST-registered businesses.
Not a permanent one. Even CallHippo's free Basic plan charges for the number itself. Most providers offer a trial instead: Exotel gives 7 days with 500 free credits, Heyo 3 days, Acefone 7 days with limited calling, CallHippo 10 days and Zoho Voice 15 days. Use the trial to test call quality on your team's own phones before you pay for a quarter or a year.
A 10-digit mobile-style number, like Superfone's, looks familiar to customers and suits sales callbacks. A landline DID with a city code, like Heyo's 011, 022 or 080 numbers, signals a local office. A 1800 toll-free number is free for the caller while you pay for inbound minutes, for example ₹1.05 a minute after the free allowance on Knowlarity's plan. Numbers starting 1860 are not free for callers.
From a few minutes to a few hours after KYC. MyOperator says Aadhaar eKYC gets a number live in minutes, while manual KYC takes 4 to 6 hours during business hours. Acefone says its KYC takes a handful of hours. Heyo does not assign a number until KYC is complete. Keep your GST certificate, PAN and the authorised signatory's ID ready to avoid delays.
For a mobile number, usually yes. TRAI's portability rules let you move it to another licensed operator, seven days after any SIM swap, and cloud providers either port it through a licensed partner or forward calls from your current connection. Some providers, MyOperator among them, say they can port landlines too, but TRAI's portability rules cover mobile numbers, so ask how the move works before cancelling your old line.
The WhatsApp Business app accepts a mobile or landline number that you own, and a landline verifies through a 'Call me' voice code. It rejects VoIP, toll-free and universal access numbers. Heyo sells its plans with a WhatsApp Business number and MyOperator includes WhatsApp chat on Sedan. WhatsApp decides whether a cloud number counts as landline or VoIP, so test registration during a trial.
