In brief
A salon missing eight calls a day uses about 416 minutes a month, and sellers price those minutes very differently. How a seller charges matters more than the headline price, because per-minute and per-bundle plans give very different totals for the same calls. At ₹1,000 earned per booking, the plans in our example pay for themselves after 2 to 4 recovered bookings a month.
Dollar prices for American salons tell an Indian salon owner very little. What matters is how many minutes of calls you hand over and what each minute costs. Sellers charge per minute or per bundle of minutes, then add phone charges, a number rental and Goods and Services Tax (GST). Two salons on the same plan can pay very different amounts. At ₹4 a minute, a 2-minute call costs ₹8 and a 30-second enquiry costs ₹2, so a salon with long chatty calls pays four times as much for the same number of calls. This page prices a salon that misses eight calls a day from three sellers' published prices, plus TalkEasy's on-request quote for the AI Receptionist. It gives you a sheet to rerun the sum with your own missed-call count and a break-even test against what a booking earns you.

What moves the price
Billing unit
Per-minute plans rise with every call; bundles stay flat until you run outA per-minute plan, such as CallMissed or Ringg AI, rises with every call. A bundle, such as Vyora, is flat until you run out.
Call length
30-second minimum per call at CallMissedCallMissed bills a 30-second minimum per call, so very short calls cost more than their length suggests. A 10-second wrong-number call is billed as 30 seconds, the same as a 30-second price enquiry.
Number and phone charges
Ringg AI adds ₹499 a month per numberRingg AI adds ₹499 a month per number, and CallMissed bills phone carriage separately. Check whether the seller's headline price includes the line.
Tier jumps
Vyora Business costs about 4.3 times Builder for about 4.7 times the minutesVyora's Business plan costs about 4.3 times Builder (₹3,449 ÷ ₹799) for about 4.7 times the minutes (533 ÷ 113). That is roughly ₹6.50 a minute against ₹7. A salon just over Builder's limit pays a lot more for a small overshoot.

How much does an AI receptionist for a salon cost in India?
As of 6 November 2026, pay-per-minute tools charge ₹4 to ₹6 a minute, and the smallest monthly bundle costs ₹799. For the 416-minute salon modelled below, that comes to about ₹1,700 to ₹3,400 a month. Your call minutes decide where you land.
Prices are from each seller's own pricing page, listed under Sources. Vyora charges 15 credits per minute, so Builder covers about 113 minutes (1,700 ÷ 15) and Business about 533 (8,000 ÷ 15). Those minute counts are our arithmetic.
CallMissed and Ringg AI both take inbound calls and also run outbound campaigns. Vyora is mainly an outbound calling platform that also offers an inbound call-answering agent, so confirm the inbound agent is covered by the plan you choose.
Salon-specific tools built in the US list plans in dollars. BookingBee, for example, starts at $99 a month per outlet for up to 8 staff. Confirm the rupee total, GST and card charges before you order from a dollar-priced seller.

What makes the monthly price of a salon AI receptionist go up?
Minutes of calls move the price most, followed by the way the seller counts them, the extras it adds and the plan tier you land on.
What will a salon missing eight calls a day pay?
A salon with 8 unanswered calls a day, 26 working days a month and 2 minutes a call needs about 416 minutes a month. That is our model (8 × 26 × 2 = 416), and you should replace each number with your own.
How do you build your own sheet?
- Count unanswered calls for 7 days. Use your phone's missed-call log and count voicemails and after-closing calls. Divide the total by 7 for your daily figure. Calls that come in after you close are the ones our after-hours call answering guide covers.
- Time 5 real calls. Use their average as minutes per call. We assume 2 for a price, timing or booking enquiry.
- Multiply. Daily missed calls × working days × minutes per call = monthly minutes.
- Price it. Multiply by each seller's per-minute rate, or find the bundle that covers your minutes. Add the number, phone charges and GST.
- Run the break-even. Divide the monthly cost by what one booking earns you after the stylist's share and products.
Test the result. If you expect to recover fewer bookings a month than the break-even number, do not buy yet.
At ₹1,000 earned per booking, ₹1,664 needs 2 bookings (1.66, rounded up) and ₹3,449 needs 4 (3.45, rounded up). Of 208 calls (8 × 26), that is 1% to 1.9% of missed calls turning into a booking. The ₹1,000 is an illustration, so use your own.

Is an AI receptionist cheaper than hiring a salon receptionist?
Per month, yes, but the two do different jobs. Stylelink (1 June 2026) puts salon receptionist pay at ₹12,000 to ₹18,000 a month at entry level and ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 for one to three years' experience. The AI answers the phone; a receptionist also greets clients, handles billing and manages the floor.
We recommend using the AI for calls nobody can pick up: while stylists are with clients, and after closing. Keep a person at the desk. Keep allergy questions, bridal bookings and complaints with staff. A script for them is in our receptionist phone script guide.
How do you get a fair quote from an AI receptionist seller?
Ask for one rupee total at your own minute count, then run five tests.
- Does it book live or capture a request? Pass: the seller names your salon software and says in writing whether the slot is confirmed on the call. Fail: "integrates with your calendar" without naming your software.
- What is the monthly total? Pass: one figure in rupees at your minute count, including GST, number rental and phone charges. Fail: a per-minute rate alone.
- Does it handle your clients' language? Record 20 test calls in the Hindi, English or mixed speech your clients use. Pass: at least 18 of 20 calls give the right price and time. Fail: 3 or more calls with a wrong price or time. The 18-of-20 threshold is our recommendation.
- Can you leave? Pass: month-to-month or cancel anytime. Fail: a full year paid upfront before you have tested it.
- Does it hand over? Pass: a test call about an allergy or bridal booking reaches a person or leaves a callback task. Fail: the AI keeps answering.
