Assumptions

  • All results are weekly and the defaults are editable examples, not industry averages.
  • A full review takes the selected average call duration.
  • Each call receives either a full review or a summary review, not both.
  • Reviewers split the workload evenly.
  • The estimate excludes coaching meetings, duplicate reviews, context switching and time spent creating or waiting for summaries.
  • The calculator estimates review time only. It does not estimate revenue, conversion, compliance or call quality outcomes.

In brief

Estimate your team’s weekly call-review workload using your own call volume, duration, reviewer count and review mix. This calculator shows the time difference between reviewing full recordings and using summaries for selected calls, with every assumption visible.

Worked example at the defaults

With calls reviewed each week at 80, average call duration at 8 min, reviewers sharing the workload at 2, calls still reviewed in full at 40%, time to review one summary at 2 min:

Full-recording review time
10.7
Summary-led review time
5.9
Estimated team-hours saved each week
4.8
Estimated hours saved per reviewer
2.4

Methodology, as of September 2026

  • Full-recording review time = calls reviewed each week * average call duration / 60.
  • Summary-led review time = calls reviewed each week * (full-review share * average call duration + summary-review share * summary-review time) / 60.
  • Estimated team-hours saved = full-recording review time - summary-led review time.
  • Estimated hours saved per reviewer = estimated team-hours saved / reviewers.

The model uses the duration you enter as a proxy for a full review and assumes the reviewers divide calls equally.

The calculator treats a full review as the selected average call duration. It then compares that weekly workload with a mixed process where some calls receive full reviews and the remaining calls receive summary reviews.

Adding reviewers divides an evenly shared workload across more people, so each reviewer has less calendar time assigned. It does not change the combined number of team-hours required to review the same set of calls.

Enter the percentage of calls that still need to be heard end-to-end. Use a higher share when managers need detailed quality checks, and a lower share when summaries are enough for routine follow-up and trend review.

The calculator shows no estimated saving when every call remains a full review or when the selected summary-review time is equal to or longer than the average call duration. That result signals that the chosen review mix is not shorter.
