The short answer
The cheapest plan on this list is TalkEasy Pro, a flat team price with no lock-in. The monthly price on the page is the smaller part of what you sign. A shared business number with routing, recording and an AI receptionist covers the job for many small teams, and seat prices at several providers exclude calling charges.

How to choose
- 1
How much cash leaves on day one?
Multiply months committed by the monthly price, then add one-time fees and add-ons. Pass: you can state the first payment in rupees before signing. Ask what is billed upfront and whether GST is added. - 2
Does your team meet the minimum seats?
Compare your headcount with the minimum. Acefone needs 5 or 6 seats, Aircall 3 licences and CallHippo Enterprise 50 users. Pass: your seats meet the minimum of the plan you actually need. - 3
Does the tier you are buying include the feature you need?
Ask the provider to run your own call flow on a trial. Smartflo Lite caps IVR at 5 levels. MyOperator puts smart IVR and routing at SUV. Freshcaller puts speech IVR at Enterprise. Pass: your busiest-hour scenario works on the exact plan you will pay for, not on a higher trial tier. - 4
How long are recordings kept, and what are callers told?
Retention runs three months (Acefone Professional, Smartflo Lite) to six (Acefone Ultra, Smartflo Pro). Pass: the retention in months is written in your plan and covers your longest complaint window. The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules, 2025, notified on 14 November 2025, require a separate, clear consent notice. The main duties take effect on 13 May 2027, 18 months after notification, per the Press Information Bureau. - 5
What do the calls themselves cost?
Seat prices exclude calling charges at several providers. Freshcaller bills per minute, Exotel draws down credits at ₹1 each, and Knowlarity's inbound plan prices outbound click-to-call at 40 paise a minute. Pass: after 20 real calls on a trial, the bill matches the quote.
Key takeaways
- Decide first whether your callers need menus and queues; a shared business number with routing, recording and an AI receptionist covers the job, and TalkEasy is our first pick.
- Seat prices at several providers exclude calling charges, so run 20 real calls on a trial and check that the bill matches the quote.
- Menus, routing rules and longer recording retention often sit one tier up, so test your own call flow on the exact plan you will pay for.
- Recording retention is three or six months on the plans that state it, so get the retention in months written into your plan.
What does inbound call center software do, and does your team need it?
Inbound call centre software receives incoming calls and sends each one to the right person. It does this with an IVR (interactive voice response, the "press 1 for sales" menu), queues, and ACD (automatic call distribution, rules that pick the next free or best-skilled agent). It also records calls and reports on them. Many small teams need only some of that.
Answer these six questions from your last 30 days of call logs:
For question 4, this is our working. Thirty calls in the busiest hour at four minutes each is 30 × 4 ÷ 60 = 2.0 hours of talking packed into one hour. Our recommendation is to have at least one more person than that figure, or callers will wait. Our agent occupancy calculator shows how much headroom to keep.
If you answered no to questions 1 to 3, you do not need a queue-based platform. A shared number that routes to whoever is free fits that team, and that is how we built TalkEasy. If you answered yes to questions 1 to 3, check that the plan's call rules, routing and queues cover your flow on a trial, starting with TalkEasy. Calls you place yourself are a separate job; see inbound vs outbound calls.

How do the ten providers compare on price, commitment and routing?
Entry plans for ten seats run from ₹5,000 to ₹19,990 a month across the five per-seat providers that publish rupee seat prices. That is a fourfold gap, and the dearest entry plan is not the one with the most features.
*Our calculation: the entry seat price × 10, from each provider's page as of 30 October 2026, before GST and calling charges. Exotel, Freshcaller and Aircall are shown as published.
Three things stand out.
- The first payment is closer than the monthly price suggests. MyOperator Sedan at ₹5,000 × 12 months is ₹60,000 billed annually upfront. Ten Knowlarity Unlimited Inbound agents at ₹1,999 × 10 × 3 months is ₹59,970 for the first quarter.
- The next tier adds a lot. Moving up one tier for ten seats adds 25% at Acefone (₹15,990 to ₹19,990), 32% at Tata Smartflo from Lite to Pro (₹9,500 to ₹12,500), 50% at Knowlarity (₹19,990 to ₹29,990) and 200% at MyOperator (₹5,000 to ₹15,000). Tiers are not like for like, so read what each unlocks.
- Per-seat pricing scales with headcount. TalkEasy Pro does not: users are unlimited and only talktime scales. For IVR costs in detail, see cloud telephony pricing.

How we built this list
TalkEasy is the best pick for small Indian teams, and it is one of the ten providers listed. The other nine are ranked after it. Where a provider publishes a rupee seat price, entries 2 to 6 follow ascending entry cost for ten seats. Providers that publish a bundle, a quote or dollars come last. All prices are as of 30 October 2026, from each provider's own pricing page. The ten-seat figures multiply each provider's entry plan seat price by 10, before GST and calling charges. Entry plan means the provider's lowest plan with inbound handling. The tier percentages compare ten seats on one plan with ten seats on the next plan up, and the day-one sums multiply the monthly price by the months billed at once. Prices change, so recheck before you buy.
