Introduction
Dialpad's price list is built for teams that pay in dollars, call North America and want phone, video meetings and a contact centre in one subscription. Many Indian teams searching for a Dialpad alternative need something narrower: a business number, a dialer, call recordings and a clear view of who answered what, paid for in rupees.
That difference settles the choice faster than any feature list. A per-seat dollar price grows with every person you add and moves with the exchange rate. A flat rupee fee does neither.
Five Dialpad Connect Standard seats cost $900 a year on annual billing, which is ₹79,200 at ₹88 per $1, our assumption. The same five people on our monthly subscription come to ₹11,988 a year before Goods and Services Tax (GST) and extra talktime. Below is a formula you can rerun with your own team size and exchange rate, plus the checks an Indian buyer should run first.
Key takeaways
- For an Indian team calling Indian customers, TalkEasy is the better fit: a monthly rupee subscription for unlimited users, with daily talktime included and extra hours billed separately, paid by Unified Payments Interface (UPI), card or netbanking.
- Dialpad's listed prices are per user per month in dollars, so the bill rises with every seat and with the exchange rate.
- TalkEasy Pro includes unlimited users, call recording, AI summaries and team analytics in rupees.
- Before paying any provider, get written answers on invoice currency, number availability for your city and the number series that Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) rules require for your calls.
Which Dialpad alternative should an Indian team that calls Indian customers choose?
We recommend TalkEasy for Indian sales and support teams that call Indian customers and want one predictable fee in rupees. The comparison uses prices as of 30 October 2026.
Dialpad lists unlimited US and Canada minutes on Sell Essentials; TalkEasy is built for calls within India. Dialpad's figures come from its pricing page, listed in the sources.
Why is TalkEasy the better Dialpad alternative for an Indian sales or support team?
TalkEasy is the better choice when your cost, payment and reporting all need to work in India. Five facts about our product explain why.
- Your base fee stays the same as the team grows. Our paid plans include unlimited users and contacts on one shared virtual business number, meaning a business phone number your whole team uses rather than one person's SIM. Pro includes three hours of talktime a day. Talktime is the time your team spends on calls. Extra hours cost ₹49 + GST each.
- You pay the way Indian businesses pay. You choose a talktime pack in the app, pay by UPI, card or netbanking, and receive a saved invoice. You can cancel anytime without a long-term lock-in.
- Calls through TalkEasy become records you can use. Calls made and received through TalkEasy get a recording and an AI summary with transcript, intent and follow-up information within a couple of minutes. AI Call Insights analyses recordings for objections, intent, competitor mentions, pricing, follow-ups and compliance flags.
- You see the whole team's calling in one place. Our Sales Call Analytics reports call volume, answer rates, missed calls, talk time, team performance and peak hours. The reports download.
- Missed callers get a second chance. Missed Call Automation is designed to call customers back automatically after a missed call. AI Receptionist answers calls, captures leads and FAQs, and can transfer calls or arrange callbacks.
What does Dialpad cost per year compared with TalkEasy's flat fee?
Dialpad's cheapest listed seat is $15 per user per month on annual billing, so five seats cost $900 a year, while our Pro plan's ₹999 + GST monthly fee stays the same for any number of users. Because Dialpad bills in dollars, its rupee cost depends on the exchange rate on the day you pay.
Here is the working, which is our model and not an official figure.
- Dialpad per year in dollars = seats × monthly price × 12.
- Dialpad in rupees = that figure × your exchange rate.
- TalkEasy base per year = monthly base fee × 12 = ₹11,988 before GST.
- Extra talktime per month = (hours of talktime used in a day − 3) × ₹49 × calling days. Example: a day with 5 hours used is 2 extra hours, which is ₹98. Over 26 calling days, an assumption, that is ₹2,548. Add the base fee and the month totals ₹3,547 before GST.
The table converts Dialpad's annual dollar cost at ₹88 per $1, our assumption. Check the day's rate and replace it with the one you pay.
The table compares list prices only, before tax, before any extra talktime on our side, and before any other charges on Dialpad's. At 10 people, our monthly base fee works out to about ₹100 a person, before GST and extra talktime. For the same costing across more providers at 5, 10 and 20 people, see our guide to business phone plans for sales teams. What should an Indian team check with any phone provider before signing?
Run four checks before you pay any provider, because dollar pricing and Indian calling rules cause most of the regret.
- Currency check. Pass: the price and the invoice are in rupees and you can pay by UPI, card or netbanking. Fail: you must work out the rupee cost yourself each month.
- Number check. Pass: the provider confirms in writing that it can issue the number type you need, for your city, with the paperwork list and lead time. Fail: it only says it supports "calls to India". +91 is India's country code, and calling India is not the same as issuing numbers in it. Ask Dialpad this directly.
- TRAI check. Pass: the provider tells you which number series your type of calls must use. The explanatory memorandum to TRAI's Second Amendment to the commercial-communications regulations, released 12 February 2025, states that promotional voice calls through auto-dialers or pre-recorded (robo) calls should be permitted through 140-series numbers only. It states that service and transactional ones should go through 1600-series numbers or another series allotted for the purpose. Put this question to every provider you shortlist. Our guide to choosing cloud telephony in India covers the wider shortlist.
- Support check. Pass: a real question sent during the trial gets a usable answer within one working day. Fail: no useful answer after two working days.
How do you test TalkEasy against Dialpad on your own calls?
Run both trials for seven days on the same calls and decide from your own results. This is our recommendation.
- Start both trials. Ours starts instantly, and Dialpad Connect has a 14-day free trial.
- Route the same 10 real calls through each. Pass: all 10 have a playable recording and a summary. On TalkEasy, summaries arrive within a couple of minutes of the call ending.
- Ask each support team one real question on day 2. Pass: you get a usable answer within one working day.
- Price your real talktime with the formula above, using the hours your team actually spent on calls.

Our verdict
TalkEasy is the better fit for Indian sales and support teams because one flat rupee fee covers unlimited users, while Dialpad's dollar per-seat price grows with every person and the exchange rate.
