Business Phone Plans for Sales Teams: 5, 10 and 20 People Costed

A sales team pays about ₹410 to ₹510 per person a month for company SIMs with call tracking, ₹950 per person for per-user cloud telephony (Tata Smartflo Lite), or one flat plan fee for a shared business number: Superfone ₹999 for 5 users, Zoho Voice ₹999 for up to 10 plus call charges, or TalkEasy by GrowEasy Pro ₹999 for unlimited users with 3 hours of talktime a day. All figures are before 18% GST.

The three setups buy different things. SIMs give every salesperson their own company number and mobile data; per-user cloud seats add call recording, unlimited calling and, on some plans, IVR menus; a shared number gives customers one number and puts every call in one log.

The three setups, in one line each

• Company SIMs plus a tracker. Each salesperson gets a corporate SIM (Jio ₹249 or Airtel ₹349 + GST a month), and an app such as Callyzer (₹161 per number a month, billed yearly) reports on the calls.
• Per-user cloud telephony. Each salesperson gets a paid seat with call recording and unlimited calling: Tata Smartflo Lite ₹950 (with a DID per agent), Acefone Professional ₹1,599 (6-seat minimum), CallHippo Professional ₹3,000 billed yearly. Tata and CallHippo add IVR menus.
• One shared number, flat price. The whole team answers one business number from an app on their own phones: Superfone, Zoho Voice Business Phone or TalkEasy Pro.

What per-person setups cost for 5, 10 and 20 people

How we compared: prices and features from each provider's official page, checked in September 2026. Prices exclude 18% GST unless stated; Tata doesn't state GST, so we treat its prices the same way.

How each figure is worked out:

• Airtel + Callyzer: ₹349 + ₹161 = ₹510 per person. 5 × ₹510 = ₹2,550; 10 × ₹510 = ₹5,100; 20 × ₹510 = ₹10,200. Airtel has no minimum number of employees.
• Jio + Callyzer: ₹249 + ₹161 = ₹410 per person. 10 × ₹410 = ₹4,100; 20 × ₹410 = ₹8,200. Jio's first order needs at least 10 connections per location, so a 5-person team cannot start here.
• Tata Smartflo Lite: ₹950 × people. The 3-month minimum means a 10-person team commits 3 × ₹9,500 = ₹28,500, plus Tata's one-time cost of ₹5,000, before GST.
• Acefone: ₹1,599 × people, but never fewer than 6 seats, so 5 people pay 6 × ₹1,599 = ₹9,594.
• CallHippo: ₹3,000 × people on yearly billing; Professional is the first plan with call recording. For 10 people that is ₹30,000 × 12 = ₹3,60,000 a year.

Every row comes with unlimited calls (the Airtel and Jio SIMs, Tata and Acefone within India, and CallHippo's "unlimited minutes"), subject to each provider's fair-use terms. Tata's fair-use limit is 5,000 minutes per user a month, pooled across the account.

What flat shared-number plans cost

Superfone by team size: 5 users = ₹599 + 2 × ₹200 = ₹999; 10 users = ₹599 + 7 × ₹200 = ₹1,999; 20 users = ₹599 + 17 × ₹200 = ₹3,999.

Zoho charges per minute on top of the plan, so the bill depends on how much the team talks. Take a 10-person team where each person spends 1 hour a day on incoming and 1 hour on outgoing calls, over 26 working days: 10 × 60 × 26 = 15,600 minutes each way. Our sum for the Team plan with its free Mumbai landline:

1. Incoming: 15,600 × ₹0.40 = ₹6,240.
2. Outgoing from a landline number: 15,600 × ₹0.80 = ₹12,480.
3. Total: ₹999 + ₹6,240 + ₹12,480 = ₹19,719 a month before GST.

We charge every minute; if the plan's 1,000 free outgoing minutes a month cover these calls, the total falls by up to ₹800. Renting a Zoho mobile number (₹799 a month) halves the outgoing rate to ₹0.40: 15,600 × ₹0.40 = ₹6,240, for a total of ₹999 + ₹799 + ₹6,240 + ₹6,240 = ₹14,278. Zoho suits teams that talk less, or that already use Zoho's CRM.

TalkEasy Pro's plan price stays at ₹999 whatever the headcount. It includes 3 hours of talktime a day, and extra talktime costs ₹49 an hour plus GST, so a team that talks as much as this example should weigh that against the unlimited plans above.

Which setup should a 5, 10 or 20-person team pick?

• 5 people: a shared number has the lowest plan price. Superfone costs ₹999 for 5 users and TalkEasy ₹999 for unlimited users, against ₹2,550 for Airtel SIMs with Callyzer. Pick SIMs if staff need company data or unlimited calling.
• 10 people: Jio SIMs with Callyzer (₹4,100) if each person needs a number and data; Superfone (₹1,999) or TalkEasy (₹999 plan, plus any extra talktime) for one shared number; Tata (₹9,500) if you need IVR menus and heavy calling.
• 20 people: per-person costs dominate. Jio with Callyzer is ₹8,200 and Tata ₹19,000, while shared-number plans range from ₹999 (TalkEasy, plus any extra talktime) to ₹3,999 (Superfone).

How to measure your team's talk time before choosing

Plans with per-minute charges or included hours only make sense once you know how much your team talks. It takes one week:

1. Pick a normal week, not a campaign week or a holiday week.
2. Add up each person's incoming and outgoing minutes per day from their phone's call log or your tracker.
3. Work out two figures: minutes per person per day, and the whole team's minutes per day.
4. Apply them to each plan. Multiply by the per-minute rates for Zoho; compare with TalkEasy Pro's 3 hours of talktime a day and the 2 hours a day of outgoing calls on Superfone's quarterly plan (a limit for the whole account); check the fair-use cap on unlimited plans, such as Tata's 5,000 minutes per user a month.

When the answer changes as the team grows

• From 3 to 5 people: Superfone rises by ₹200 a month per extra user, Heyo Pro stops at 5 agents, and TalkEasy's plan price stays the same.
• At 10 people: Jio's corporate SIMs become available (10 connections on the first order), and Zoho's Team plan reaches its 10-user limit; the Office plan covers up to 30 for ₹2,999.
• At 20 people and beyond: per-person plans already cost ₹8,200 (Jio with Callyzer) to ₹60,000 (CallHippo Professional) a month, so check whether everyone really needs their own seat or number.

Costs that do not show up in the monthly price

• Upfront billing. Jio collects corporate rental in advance, Tata requires 3 months, CallHippo's ₹3,000 rate is for yearly billing, and the Zoho prices here are for annual billing (Team is ₹1,499 a month on monthly billing).
• One-time fees. Tata Smartflo Lite has a one-time cost of ₹5,000.
• Recording storage and CRM links. Callyzer charges ₹500 a month per 5 GB of recordings and ₹150 per number for Zoho or LeadSquared integration.
