The short answer
A small Indian team that wants one shared number, recording and analytics on a predictable bill should choose TalkEasy. For five callers making 7,800 outgoing minutes a month, TalkEasy Pro comes to ₹3,547 + GST, while Zoho's usage comes to about 3,500 credits before the plan fee. Only the rupee price of a credit tells you which bill is lower.

Introduction
Zoho's India pricing page gives credit rates for calls, numbers and recording but no single monthly rupee total. A five-caller TalkEasy bill, in our model below, comes to ₹3,547 + GST.
That gap decides how you should shop. With credits, the total depends on how many minutes you talk, how many you record, and what one credit costs when you top up. Until you know those, you cannot say which bill is lower, and a plan fee alone will not tell you.
Zoho's pricing page says calls within India are supported, but its help FAQ says they are restricted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT); confirm in writing before paying.
This page does the arithmetic for a one-caller team and a five-caller team, shows how we compare on the points buyers check first, and gives you six questions to put to Zoho in writing. Prices are as of November 2026.
Key takeaways
- A small Indian team that wants one shared number, recording and analytics on a predictable bill should choose TalkEasy.
- Zoho Voice bills in credits per minute and per add-on. Our bill is a monthly subscription plus talktime, with extra talktime at ₹49 + GST an hour.
- Zoho's pricing page and its help FAQ describe calling inside India differently, so get written confirmation before paying.
- For five callers making 7,800 outgoing minutes a month, Zoho's usage comes to about 3,500 credits before the plan fee. Only the rupee price of a credit tells you which bill is lower.
What does Zoho Voice offer that TalkEasy does not?
If your priority is CRM-linked calling, start with a TalkEasy Enterprise quote, because our Enterprise plan includes custom CRM integration. Zoho Voice offers three things TalkEasy does not:
- Native Zoho CRM telephony. Zoho's help documentation says its Zoho Telephony integration is available only in the Enterprise Telephony edition, not the Business Phone edition. For Zoho routes, costs and a call test, see Zoho CRM telephony in India.
- IVR menus. Zoho's plan comparison page includes IVR (interactive voice response, the "press 1 for sales" menu) among its plan features.
- 24/5 support. The same page includes it.
What does Zoho Voice bill in credits besides the plan fee?
Zoho Voice bills calls, number rental and add-ons in prepaid credits on top of the plan fee. As of November 2026, Zoho's India pricing page sets these rates:
Our arithmetic: a recorded outbound call to a mobile costs 0.5 credit a minute (0.4 plus 0.1). Every recorded minute you keep then adds 0.04 credit each month. Zoho's terms give no refund for unused credits if you close the account.

Do Zoho Voice numbers work for calls inside India?
Zoho's pricing page says calls within India are supported, but its help FAQ says they are restricted by the DoT; confirm in writing before paying. The pricing page, "Zoho Voice | Cloud-based telephony | Plans and Pricing", says: "Yes, you can make calls within India using Zoho Voice numbers. Currently you can purchase landline and virtual mobile numbers to make calls within India". The FAQ, "Frequently Asked Questions | Zoho Voice", says "you cannot use Zoho Voice from India to make calls inside India as it is restricted by the DoT" and "We don't provide Indian numbers either".
The pricing page also says "Mumbai GST and Mumbai address is mandatory for Mumbai landline number purchase." A team without a Mumbai registration should ask which number it would get instead.
Outbound sales calls in India also fall under the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) rules for commercial communications, most recently amended in February 2025. Ask any provider which number type your campaign will use.
What would five callers pay on Zoho Voice and on TalkEasy?
For five callers making 7,800 outgoing minutes a month, TalkEasy Pro comes to ₹3,547 + GST. Zoho Voice's usage comes to about 3,500 credits before its plan fee.
This is our model, not an official figure. The inputs:
- 26 working days.
- Every call goes to a mobile and is recorded.
- Zoho Standard: one licence for an admin and up to 10 agents, so five callers need one licence, with 1,000 free outgoing minutes per licence and a free Mumbai landline. Business Phone editions are not modelled.
- Storage is excluded.
- Our three daily talktime hours are treated as one pool for the account, with no carry-over between days.
Multiply Zoho's credits by the rupee price shown when you top up, then add the plan fee. For five callers, Zoho comes out cheaper only if the plan fee plus 3,500 times that price stays under ₹3,547. A credit priced at ₹1 would leave ₹47 for the plan fee. For one caller, the plan fee plus 380 times the credit price must stay under the Pro fee.
Change the minutes and you change the answer. Our bill moves in ₹49 steps, while Zoho's moves with every recorded minute.
- Measure
- Outgoing minutes a month
- 1 caller, 60 min a day
- 1,560
- 5 callers, 60 min each a day
- 7,800
- Measure
- TalkEasy Pro
- 1 caller, 60 min a day
- The Pro monthly fee + GST (1 hour a day sits inside the allowance)
- 5 callers, 60 min each a day
- 5 hours a day, so 2 extra hours × 26 days = 52 hours × ₹49 = ₹2,548, plus ₹999 = ₹3,547 + GST
- Measure
- Zoho calling credits
- 1 caller, 60 min a day
- (1,560 − 1,000) × 0.4 = 224
- 5 callers, 60 min each a day
- (7,800 − 1,000) × 0.4 = 2,720
- Measure
- Zoho recording credits
- 1 caller, 60 min a day
- 1,560 × 0.1 = 156
- 5 callers, 60 min each a day
- 7,800 × 0.1 = 780
- Measure
- Zoho usage total
- 1 caller, 60 min a day
- 380 credits + plan fee
- 5 callers, 60 min each a day
- 3,500 credits + plan fee
Which six questions should you ask Zoho in writing before you pay?
Ask these six questions by email before you pay. Each has a clear pass and fail.
- Calls inside India: "Does my plan support inbound and outbound calls to Indian mobiles from India, and which number type will carry outbound sales calls under TRAI's rules?" Pass: a written yes that names the plan and number type. Fail: no reply, or a pointer to the help FAQ.
- Credit price: "What is the rupee price of one credit at top-up, and what is the smallest top-up?" Pass: a rupee figure matching the top-up screen. Fail: any answer in dollars.
- Paperwork: "What documents does my number need?" Pass: you hold the Mumbai GST registration and address the pricing page requires, or Zoho names an alternative in writing. Fail: you cannot supply them.
- Edition: "Does the plan I am pricing include Zoho Telephony integration?" Pass: Zoho names Enterprise Telephony. Fail: you priced Business Phone and need the CRM link.
- Free minutes: "How many free outgoing minutes apply to my licence count?" Pass: a number per licence that you can put into the formula above. Fail: "it depends".
- Refunds: "What happens to unused credits if I close the account?" Pass: you accept Zoho's written position that unused credits are not refunded. Fail: you would top up more than a month of use.
If you plan to record, read call recording announcements in India first. For more providers, see cloud telephony pricing in India and virtual number providers compared by price.
